GVTC has wrapped up its expansion into the city of Blanco. The completed project comes a little more than a year after the Smithson Valley-based communications company announced it would provide services to the Hill Country community, with an estimated population of 1,739.
“Blanco has many positive attributes going for it and has been underserved with its communications services for too long,” GVTC Ritchie Sorrells, said. “We’re confident citizens will appreciate the value we provide and be happy customers for many years.”
GVTC is selling cable TV, Internet, phone and security monitoring through its state-of-the-art fiber optics network. More than 700 residential and 500 business customers are eligible for all of GVTC’s products and services. The company is offering Blanco customers special introductory pricing, including a $99 triple-play bundle to sign up sales. Customers can call 1-800-FOR-GVTC to order services now.
“We’re very excited GVTC is investing the dollars to bring their fiber network to Blanco,” Chuck Homan, Blanco Mayor, said. “Their products, particularly their fast Internet connections, will enhance the quality of life for our citizens and could encourage economic development in our area, as well.”
