Former Blanco FFA member Keaton Dodd recently completed his collegiate livestock judging career by winning the Collegiate National Livestock Judging Contest at Louisville, Ky. As a member of the Texas A&M Livestock Judging Team, Dodd helped the Aggies win their 12th National Championship in this event.
Keaton, a 2010 BHS graduate, was a member of the 2009 State Champion Livestock Judging Team for the Blanco FFA. After winning the state championship, Keaton would represent Blanco and Texas at the National FFA Livestock Judging Competition where Blanco was recognized as a Gold Emblem team. Upon graduating, Dodd began his collegiate career judging at Blinn Junior College where he was named to the All-American team. He is still the first and only person to win high point individual in both the high school and Collegiate divisions of the San Antonio Livestock Exposition judging contests.
