A sold out audience was treated to REVEL's delicious holiday musical banquet at the Blanco Performing Arts concert on December 19 at the Uptown Blanco Ballroom.
Ranging from the invigorating appetizer of Piazolla's Argentine tango music and ethereal unaccompanied Bach by cellist Joel Becktell, to audience participation in Christmas carol arrangements and an effervescent dessert rendering of Vivaldi's Winter concerto by violinist Carmelo de los Santos, this holiday concert anchored by pianist Carla McElhaney provided moments of unspeakable calm, effortless virtuosity, and energized celebration.
