The Blanco Panther volleyball team fought for every point to defeat the Halletsville Lady Brahmas at Luling 3-2 on Tuesday, October 30, with set scores of 25-21, 18-25, 19-25, 25-20, and 19-17. The fifth set ends at the score of 15 if a team is leading by 2 points. The Panthers were down 14-13 in the set, but would not give up. The win secured the Bi-District title for Blanco. On Thursday, November 1, the Panthers met the East Bernard Brahmarettes in Smithville for the area round. The East Bernard team played solid quick defense. The Panthers lost 0-3 with set scores 17-25, 19-25, and 23-25. The Panthers completed the season with a 22-16 record. The senior team members were Leslie McClinton, Kelsey Schwind, Brooke York, Abby Beard, and Megan Andrews. Junior members were Meaghen Seales and Ashlyn Stephens. Sophomore team members were Reagan Rogers, Abbie Culton, Lexee Jenkins, and Payton Savarino.
