Blanco High School has been observing and celebrating Red Ribbon Week for over 20 years. This year’s theme is “A Healthy Me is Drug Free” to encourage students to stay healthy and to be drug and alcohol free. The high school’s main event is the poster contest. With the help of Perry Kuebel, all students are encouraged to enter the Red Ribbon Poster Contest. This year we had over 70 poster entries. Judges for the high school were Tucker and Paige Morrow, Young Life Leaders.
Congratulations and thanks to all students who participated! In addition to the poster contest, high school students participated in a daily “dress-up” day in recognition of Red Ribbon Week. For example, on Tuesday, students were encouraged to “Use your “head” and “run” away from drugs and alcohol!” by wearing their favorite hats and sneakers.
