What a fun time we had at our Summer Reading Program Finale! We had a good time talking about the superheroes we invented, including Superhero Nattely with the power to fly, be invisible, and control the weather as well as Meteor Man who can fly and grow vegetables! Local teen author Connor Eyzaguirre introduced the new volume collections of his six books and invented Solar Flare, an American astronaut supernaturally returned from Mars, for this special day. Even local newspaper editor, Merannda Button, joined in the discussion by saying that she wishes she had the power of telekinesis to help save people.
Just a reminder for everyone, while the programs are finished, children can still collect their reading prizes until August 10th. Nearly 70 children are registered as of today for this summer program and we have handed out lots of goodies. Thank you Blanco for participating in helping children grow a love for reading!
It has now been one month since we started our new catalog system and installing the new furniture funded by the Tocker Foundation. We would like to know what you think of these new amenities. Let us know today by taking the survey posted on our website or filling out a survey in our library.
